Funeral Director

Funeral director needed at Mount Olivet Chapel.  Rotating weekly and weekend schedule; does not include on-call work or removals.  Valid Texas driver’s license; good driving record; professional appearance and good communication skills required.  Must be licensed in Texas.  Dual-Licensing preferred but not required.  Experience in a high-volume funeral home and cemetery structure preferred.

Accounting Clerk

Accounting Clerk needed to serve as backup support for positions within the Accounting Department to include Accounts Payable; Pre-need and At-need Accounts Receivable; General Accounting Clerk; and Cashier.  Primary duties will be processing and reconciling bank drafts, and serving as backup Cashier.  Cashier duties include receiving, posting and balancing payments; bank deposits; reconciling credit card transactions; and light customer service.  Employee will be cross-trained on all duties for positions listed above.  Requires two years office experience; an understanding of debits and credits; the ability to balance and reconcile transactions; and the ability to use 10-key by touch.  College accounting course; or previous cash handling and/or accounting experience preferred.  Must by very detailed and able to multi-task successfully with frequent interruptions.  Must have a congenial personality and front desk appearance.  Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Occasional overtime may be needed during peak business periods.

Administrative Assistant

Staff member needed to support the Administrative Assistants to the President/COO and General Manager/CEO, and to lend administrative support to other Officers of the Association.  Successful candidate will learn the duties of each Administrative Assistant and will provide backup during absences or peak periods of business.  Candidate must have demonstrated ability to produce detailed and accurate work, especially during periods of high-stress projects and heavy workloads; demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and to work without supervision; exceptional organizational skills; demonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities; demonstrated communications skills (verbal and written); and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.  Position requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel and Word; and proficient use of 10-key machine.  Experience with Microsoft Publisher preferred.  Strict grooming and professional dress guidelines required.  Hours:  8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Family Service Provider

Family Service Provider needed at Greenwood  and Mount Olivet Chapels to provide ongoing assistance to those who have had a recent death, as well as those desiring to make their arrangements in advance.  Position requires advanced organizational, communication and presentation skills; high level of professionalism; valid Texas driver’s license; and strict dress code.  Must demonstrate the ability to work independently without supervision.  Previous sales experience preferred.  Must obtain Preneed Agent licensing within 90 days.  Work schedule varies and includes weekends, holidays, and evenings; must be flexible and willing to meet with families in-home or at the funeral home.  

Cemetery Maintenance Worker 

Full-time Cemetery Worker needed at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mount Olivet Cemetery.  Candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the cemetery to include performing burial set-ups and interments; installing memorials; and other cemetery-related duties.

Requires good communication skills; a valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record; and a groomed appearance. Strict dress code enforced; employees must wear a company-provided uniform.  Work schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., year-round.
